The Set Ltd was founded with one clear mission: to bring the highest level of theatre industry training to performers and enthusiasts across the UK.
Through our nationwide programme of masterclasses, workshops, and events, we connect aspiring performers with the professionals working at the very top of the industry today. From West End principals to Broadway cast members, our sessions give participants a rare opportunity to learn directly from those currently performing on the world’s biggest stages.
With over 50 years of combined industry experience, our founders have built an extensive network within the theatre world. This allows The Set Ltd to bring guest artists from the majority of West End productions — and many Broadway shows — to communities, schools, colleges, and theatre groups across the country. Our aim is to make elite-level insight and training accessible to people everywhere, not just those based in London.
At the heart of The Set Ltd is a belief that theatre is for everyone. Whether someone is a seasoned performer, a student beginning their journey, or simply someone who loves the joy of performing, our events are designed to be welcoming, inspiring, and empowering.
We believe that when people are encouraged to express themselves freely and creatively, they grow in confidence and discover a deeper sense of self. In a world that often asks people to fit into boxes, we champion the power of performance to help individuals feel comfortable in their own skin and to celebrate who they truly are.

Founders
Summer Strallen
Summer Strallen is one of the UK’s most celebrated performers and a four-time Olivier Award nominee. Her extensive West End credits include leading roles in major productions such as The Sound of Music, Guys and Dolls, Top Hat, and Love Never Dies.
Alongside her stage work, Summer has also appeared in television and film. She most recently appeared as Jean in the ITV drama Archie, and has featured in several television productions throughout her career including Land Girls and Hollyoaks. She also appeared in the highly anticipated film adaptations of Wicked, bringing her stage experience to the big screen.
Known for her versatility across acting, singing, and dance, Summer has built a career performing at the highest level of the industry. Through The Set Ltd, she is passionate about sharing the knowledge, discipline, and artistry that have shaped her career, while inspiring the next generation of performers to pursue their ambitions with confidence and authenticity.
Danny Bayne
Danny Bayne is an accomplished performer whose career has taken him to leading roles on stages & on screen internationally. He is currently starring as Basil Fawlty in John Cleese’s stage adaptation of Fawlty Towers, bringing the iconic character to life for theatre audiences.
His extensive theatre credits include Danny Zuko in Grease (Piccadilly Theatre), Danny Driscoll in Only Fools and Horses (Theatre Royal Haymarket), Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever (UK National Tour), and Corny Collins in Hairspray (National Tour). He also served as choreographer for Larks in Transit with Bill Bailey, showcasing his creative work beyond performance.
Before his theatre career, Danny was a Latin and Ballroom champion in his youth, training under Len Goodman of Strictly Come Dancing fame, alongside future Dancing With the Stars professionals Derek Hough and Mark Ballas. This elite dance training laid the foundations for his dynamic stage presence and versatility as a performer.
With a wealth of experience in leading roles and a reputation as a charismatic and skilled performer, Danny brings deep industry insight and passion to The Set Ltd. As co-founder, he is dedicated to creating opportunities for performers of all ages to access the kind of mentorship and professional knowledge that can truly shape a performer’s journey. His passion lies in helping others discover their voice, develop their confidence, and experience the transformative power of performance
